42nd Annual Daytona International Speedway Pro-Am Golf Classic Hosted by DIS and Halifax Health

On October 22-23, Halifax Health and Daytona International Speedway hosted the 42nd Annual Daytona International Speedway Pro-Am Golf Classic at LPGA International in Daytona Beach.

This sold-out, premiere event allowed each participating foursome to be paired with a PGA Golf Professional for the entire round, giving them a chance to learn more about the game of golf from skilled players.  Since 2004, this annual event has raised more than $2.9 million, with proceeds benefiting Halifax Health – Foundation which includes the BettyJaneFranceCenter for Pediatrics at Halifax Health and various Checkered Flag charities.

The fun-filled event kicked off on October 22 with a pairings party hosted by Mike and Sue Walsh and Tom McGuire and Retirement Planners and Administrators featuring the magic of Chad Long.  The team scramble at LPGA International was held October 23.  The event concluded with an awards luncheon.

First place winners on the Hills Course at LPGA were: Kevin Kilian, Randy Dye, Rod Perry, Jeff Vaughn and Jamie Rountree.  First place winners on the Jones Course at LPGA were: Eric Meyers, Chuck Horne, Chuck Grant, Zach Horne and Jonny Thompson.

Halifax Health – Foundation Executive Director Joe Petrock and Daytona International Speedway President Joie Chitwood III served as chairmen of this year’s golf classic.
