Halifax Health Recognizes Volunteers of the Month

Halifax Health – Auxiliary is proud to announce the Halifax Health Volunteers of the Month for October, November and December 2016.

L. David Williamson of Daytona Beach is the Halifax Health Volunteer of the Month for October.  Williamson, a past president of Halifax Health – Auxiliary, has volunteered in Halifax Health Medical Center’s Security Department for the last years.  A Halifax Health volunteer since 2003, he has given more than 10,373 hours of service.

Lillian Scott is the Halifax Health Volunteer of the Month for November.  A resident of Ormond Beach, Scott has volunteered more than 11,000 hours at Halifax Health since 1993.  After having assisted in a variety of areas over the years, she currently assists with Halifax Health – Auxiliary fundraising activities.

Daytona Beach resident Barb Rieder is the Halifax Health Volunteer of the Month for December.  Rieder has been a member of Halifax Health – Auxiliary for 20 years and has provided more than 9,700 volunteer hours.  She assists with patient admissions and discharges and regularly escorts visitors to their desired destinations.  She also enthusiastically helps new volunteers learn the job responsibilities of the Information Desk and assists with Halifax Health – Auxiliary fundraising activities.

Halifax Health – Auxiliary is a local charitable 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to serve the community through partnership with Halifax Health.  The Auxiliary has been operating since 1932 and serves over 400 volunteer members contributing more than 80,000 hours annually.  Halifax Health – Auxiliary also assists with general fundraising efforts through their Gift Shop, sponsored sales and partnership with First Uniform – the only in-house healthcare apparel and accessory store in the Daytona Beach area.  For information on volunteer opportunities at Halifax Health, call 386.425.4036 or visit halifaxhealth.org/volunteering.
