Halifax Health, City of Deltona to Host Talk with the Docs

(February 6, 2017) – Deltona residents will have the chance to meet and ask questions of several of Halifax Health’s healthcare professionals during the Talk with the Docs event presented by Halifax Health and the City of Deltona on February 16 from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm  at Deltona City Hall, 2345 Providence Boulevard.

“With the opening of the Halifax Health – Emergency Department of Deltona happening soon, we feel this is the perfect time to introduce Deltona residents to our health system’s expert team of healthcare professionals,” says Rafael Ramirez, business development specialist for Halifax Health.

Halifax Health clinicians participating in this event and the topics they will discuss include:

Pre-Diabetes: Ana Castoro, MD, Halifax Health – Primary Care, Deltona

Hereditary Risk Navigator: Danielle Bolton, RDMS, CN-BI, Halifax Health – Center for Oncology

Cardiac Surgeries: Cary Meyers, MD, University of Florida Health Heart and Vascular Surgery at Halifax Health

Vascular Surgeries: Ryan Messiner, DO, University of Florida Health Heart and Vascular Surgery at Halifax Health

Eye Diseases: Nishita Patel, MD, Halifax Health – Ophthalmology

Hospice & Palliative Services: Mary Jo Allen, RN, MSN and Raul Zimmerman, MD, Halifax Health – Hospice  

Injury Rehabilitation: Ashley Chiariello, LMHC and Darren Aliment, Halifax Health|Brooks Rehabilitation Center for Inpatient Rehabilitation

A representative from Halifax Health – Behavioral Services will also be on-hand to discuss mental health services. 

In addition, residents will be provided information on Halifax Health’s free-standing emergency department, opening this spring at 3300 Halifax Crossings Boulevard in Deltona, and the medical services it will provide.
