Halifax Health Pre-Diabetes and Diabetes Education Continues Growth with Upcoming Prevention and Education Series

Halifax Health Announces Next Series of Live Your Life Well Lifestyle Change Diabetes Prevention and Education Series

DAYTONA BEACH, FLA. – (May 11, 2021) –

Halifax Health is proud to announce the next session of the Live Your Life Well Lifestyle Change Diabetes Prevention and Education. The education series will run for 12 consecutive weeks and start on Wednesday, May 12, 2021. Over the 12 weeks, the series will meet every Wednesday at 6:00 pm via Zoom and in-person at the Port Orange YMCA Healthy Living Center. Each part of the series will last one hour. A variety of topics and their impact on diabetes will be covered during the length of the series. Those topics include stress management, exercise, nutrition, and much more. The series is a collaboration between Halifax Health and the YMCA.

“We are working hard to engage all the communities in Volusia County to prevent diabetes and ensure everyone is getting the best treatment, care and education. Everyone at Halifax Health is committed to empowering and supporting our community with diabetes management and building a healthier community together. We have had over 100 community members go thru our education series and the impact has just begun,” says Mica Lill, Community Health Manger at Halifax Health.

Lill also adds, “Whether you or a loved one is affected by diabetes we are here to connect you to resources that will continue to let you live your best life.”
