  • As the only Level III Neonatal ICU in Volusia, Flagler, St. Johns, Brevard, Lake and Seminole counties, we’re ready and equipped to care for you and your baby. Halifax Health – Center for Women and Infant Health is able to care for premature babies born earlier than 28 weeks and smaller than two pounds, or 1,000 grams, as well as full-term babies who need more focused care.

    Our goal is – and has always been – to provide the highest quality of care close to home, because that’s exactly where you and your baby belong.

  • Each expectant mother’s journey through pregnancy is unique and some may require to be seen by a physician that specialize in high risk pregnancies called a maternal fetal specialist, or Perinatologist. Halifax Health is the only hospital in the area that has a Prenatal Diagnostics Center with Perinatologists available 24/7. Our Perinatologists work in conjunction with your private OB/GYN to create an individualized care plan that ensures the safety of you and your baby.

  • Whether this is your first child or fourth, we understand that as an expecting mother you always have questions about the best way to care for your newborn. As such, our facility is equipped with educators who are qualified to address your questions. When you choose Halifax Health, you will receive professional guidance on how to best care for your newborn. We will cover a broad range of topics including what to expect in your newborn’s appearance, breastfeeding and how to sooth your child.   • During pregnancy, the last thing you want to think about is experiencing an emergency, or that your private OB/GYN won’t be available when you go into labor. These scenarios are difficult to prepare for, but thankfully at Halifax Health we have you covered. Halifax Health is the area’s first and only OB Emergency Department that is partnered with the largest OB/GYN hospitalist provider, Ob Hospitalist Group (OBHG). In the case of an emergency, or if your private OB/GYN is not available, the Ob Hospitalists are on-site 24/7, are all Board Certified and are highly skilled in a variety of different delivery techniques. When it comes to the safety of you and your baby, seconds matter and so does experience.
