
DAYTONA BEACH, FLA. – (September 7, 2022) Today, the American Diabetes Association announced its plans to hold The State of Diabetes Conference and Exposition at the News Journal Center on November 19, 2022 in Daytona Beach, Florida. This is the first time this prestigious annual conference has been hosted in Volusia County. The FREE conference will feature healthcare experts in the management of diabetes, the latest prediabetes and diabetes management technologies, the impact of diabetes on your five senses and more. The conference will also feature an exposition of diabetes care vendors including insulin pumps and constant glucose monitoring devices.
Approximately 2,164,009 people in Florida, or 12.5% of the adult population, have diagnosed diabetes. An additional 546,000 people in Florida have diabetes but don’t know it, greatly increasing their health risk.
