Halifax Health has been recognized as one of the nation’s “150 Great Places to Work in Healthcare” by Becker’s Healthcare.

“We are extremely proud of this recognition.  Each day we strive to maintain our well established culture of excellence as well as a friendly, family-like work environment.  We achieve this, in part, by offering our more than 4,300 employees a variety of wellness, educational and special recognition programs throughout the year,” says Jeff Feasel, president and chief executive officer of Halifax Health.

The 2016 edition of Becker’s Healthcare list features 150 U.S. healthcare provider organizations, such as hospitals, health systems, ambulatory surgical centers and home health agencies, as well as other types of healthcare-specific companies, like consulting firms, health information technology vendors, medical societies and more.  A version of this list has been published every year since 2011, but this is the third year the list features both providers and nonprovider organizations.  The full list can be read here: http://bit.ly/1OZ1UGZ.

The Becker’s Healthcare editorial team determined the organizations included on this year’s list.  Organizations that submitted nominations were considered, as were organizations that received national, state or local recognition previously earned for workplace excellence, as well as benefits offerings, wellness initiatives, and efforts to improve professional development, diversity and inclusion, work-life balance and a sense of community among employees.

Publications produced by Chicago-based Becker’s Healthcare include Becker’s Hospital Review, a monthly publication offering up-to-date business and legal news and analysis relating to hospitals and health systems.  Content is geared toward high-level hospital leaders.  Each issue of Becker’s Hospital Review reaches more than 18,000 people, primarily acute-care hospital chief executive officers, chief financial officers and chief information officers.
