The Daytona Blues Festival Foundation recently presented a $35,000 donation to Halifax Health – Center for Women and Infant Health, including the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).

“We are honored to once again receive such tremendous support from the Daytona Blues Festival Foundation.  This generous donation will allow us to help more local babies in need of expert neonatal care close to home,” says Joe Petrock, executive director, Halifax Health – Foundation.

The Daytona Blues Festival Foundation is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit incorporated in 2010 with the dual purpose of developing an annual three-day blues music weekend for the community that would generate proceeds for health initiatives for women and children. The festival is held at the historic Jackie Robinson Ballpark in Daytona Beach and features up-and-coming, as well as nationally known artists, and draws blues lovers from all over the country. No salaries are drawn from any monies generated, and all proceeds fund women’s and children’s health services.  The 2016 Daytona Blues Festival takes place October 7-9.
