Infusion Therapy

As an alternative to oral treatment, patients sometimes require infusion therapy that delivers medication and fluid intravenously though the bloodstream. Intravenous therapy may be used for fluid volume replacement, to correct electrolyte imbalances or to deliver medications.

While this treatment method has traditionally been administered in an inpatient setting, Halifax Health | UF Health – Medical Center of Deltona offers many types of infusion therapy as an outpatient service, provided by trained nurses. To schedule an appointment, call 386.425.2251. Orders can be faxed to 386.425.7744.
