DAYTONA BEACH, FLA. – (December 21, 2017) – Sierra Hinzman, a senior at Father Lopez Catholic High School in Daytona Beach, recently made a donation of $751.42 to Halifax Health Medical Center’s Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.  The money was raised from a service project spearheaded by Hinzman at her school in which students paid to have a “dress down” day. Participating students were generous with their donations, with many donating more than the cost of the ticket.  Halifax Health offers the area’s only Level II Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and utilizes a multidisciplinary team that includes pediatric intensivists, critical care nurses, respiratory therapists, rehabilitation therapists, pharmacists, dietitians and nurse case managers.
