Halifax Health | Father Lopez Mental Health Services

Father Lopez Catholic High School is partnering up with Halifax Health to receive additional behavioral resources for students from Halifax Health – Child & Adolescent Behavioral Services. To meet the increased need for student counseling and planning for the future after the pandemic, Father Lopez Catholic High School has taken the first steps to enhance the Father Lopez Guidance Office by partnering with Halifax Health to provide students additional resources and a dedicated mental health therapist.

Meet Angelina Vickers, LMHC

Angelina Vickers, LMHC is a graduate of Bethune-Cookman University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Master’s of Science in Counseling Psychology. She has worked for several community organizations and has experience providing services and resources to pregnant and post-partum mothers diagnosed with substance use disorders, substance exposed newborns, children of all ages, families and young adults.

The area’s only comprehensive center that provides psychiatric services for children and adolescents (ages 2-17) with emotional and behavioral problems.

As a part of your treatment, our primary goal is to provide a safe, therapeutic environment at all times. Halifax Health – Behavioral Services team works to establish healthy behavior by working with you to learn new skills, socially and emotionally, and then by reinforcing positive feedback and encouragement for a smoother transition back into the home, family, school and their community.
