Bill Griffin, director of strategic planning for Halifax Health, is a 2015-16 recipient of the Service Above Self Award, Rotary International’s highest honor for individual Rotarians.
The Service Above Self Award recognizes Rotarians who have demonstrated exemplary humanitarian service, especially those who have helped others through personal volunteer work and active involvement in Rotary.
Griffin is a member of the Daytona Beach West Rotary Club where he serves on the District Youth Exchange and Fund Committees. He has served as the assistant district governor (2004-06) and district governor (2008-09) for Northeast Florida Rotary Clubs. In addition to his involvement in Rotary initiatives, he currently serves as chairman of the board of directors for Daytona Beach-based Community Partnership for Children.
Griffin has been a member of the Halifax Health executive team since 1982. Prior to coming to Halifax Health Medical Center, he was a hospital management consultant with Ernst & Young.
