Halifax Health Announces Joe Petrock Auxiliary Volunteers of the Month for June, July and August 2018

DAYTONA BEACH, FLA. – (September 7, 2018) – Cynthia Rose, Dan Sellers and Bonnie Baker have been named the Joe Petrock Auxiliary Volunteers of the Month for June, July and August 2018 by the Halifax Health – Auxiliary.

A Daytona Beach resident, Rose is the Volunteer of the Month for June 2018.  An Auxiliary member since 2016, she has volunteered more than 2,376 hours at Halifax Health.  Rose is a member of Halifax Health’s Stitch ‘N Knit Department which makes pillows, knitted caps, booties and mittens for the hospital’s newborns and other patients.  Rose spends her Mondays stuffing pillows, doing 30 to 40 by herself.  She even takes the knitted items home to put together packets of booties, hats and mitts.  In addition to her service with the Auxiliary’s Stitch ‘N Knit Department, Rose serves as the assistant treasurer of the Halifax Health – Auxiliary.

Dan Sellers of Port Orange is the Volunteer of the Month for July 2018.  Since 2016, Sellers has volunteered as a courtesy cart driver at Halifax Health Medical Center.  He is known for coming in early and staying late and is often there to fill in when a driver is needed to fill any schedule vacancies.

Ponce Inlet resident Bonnie Baker is the Volunteer of the Month for August 2018.  A volunteer since 2007, she has donated more than 2,216 hours of service to Halifax Health Medical Center of Port Orange.  Baker volunteers her time in the hospital’s Emergency Department, where she is beloved by the staff.
