DAYTONA BEACH, FLA. – (January 31, 2018) – Henrietta “Chuckie” Hughes, Lori Willick and Dot Wells have been named the Joe Petrock Auxiliary Volunteers of the Month for November and December 2017 and January 2018 by the Halifax Health – Auxiliary.
A Daytona Beach resident, Hughes is the Volunteer of the Month for November 2017. An Auxiliary member for more than two years, she has provided more than 683 volunteer hours to Halifax Health, primarily in the gift shop at Halifax Health Medical Center of Daytona Beach. Known to be an extremely dedicated volunteer, in 2016 during Hurricane Matthew, Hughes spent the entire weekend at the hospital in order to keep the gift shop open.
Lori Willick of New Smyrna Beach is the Volunteer of the Month for December 2017. Willick, who is co-chair of the Auxiliary’s therapy dog program, has provided more than 1,000 volunteer hours to Halifax Health, most of which were completed with her beloved greyhound Abby.
Also a gift shop volunteer, Dot Wells is the Auxiliary’s Volunteer of the Month for January 2018. Wells, who in addition serves as the assistant treasurer for the gift shop, handles all the store’s accounts and verifies receipts and invoices. She is known to be a dedicated volunteer with a strong work ethic. The Daytona Beach resident has been an Auxiliary member since April 2015.

The Auxiliary has been operating since 1932 and serves over 400 volunteer members contributing more than 80,000 hours annually.
