With the goal of meeting the growing healthcare needs of West Volusia residents, Halifax Health has plans to open a free-standing emergency department and medical office complex in Deltona.
“Halifax Health is proud to announce plans to open two new medical facilities in Deltona. We believe these much-needed facilities in VolusiaCounty’s most populous city will enhance the healthcare access and choice for West Volusia residents,” says Jeff Feasel, chief executive officer for Halifax Health.
Halifax Health plans to open a medical facility on a 30-acre site near the intersection of Interstate 4 and Howland Boulevard that will be the centerpiece of Deltona’s planned Halifax Crossing medical village. The first phase will see the opening of a free-standing emergency department and full-service imaging center, with completion slated for December 2016, and is expected to create 60 positions, with a projected payroll of $5.8 million in the first year and a $6.3 million payroll in the fifth year of operation.
The second phase would include physician office space and related support services which could be open by the spring of 2017.
In addition, Halifax Health has plans to open the Bella Vista medical office complex on a 12.5-acre site at 120 Howland Boulevard near State Road 415. Slated to open in December 2016, the multispecialty facility will feature an urgent care clinic with related imaging services and physician offices.
