Halifax Health – Auxiliary Donates $50,000 to Halifax Humane Society Capital Campaign

Halifax Health – Auxiliary recently donated $50,000 to the Halifax Humane Society’s “Reimagining the Future for our Community’s Animals” capital campaign.  The capital campaign’s goal is to renovate the Halifax Humane Society’s 50-year-old facility in Daytona Beach and to expand the services it provides to animals.  Pictured above are officials representing Halifax Health and Halifax Humane Society.  They include (L-R): Halifax Health – Foundation Executive Director Joe Petrock; Halifax Humane Society Chief Executive Officer Miguel Abi-hassan; Halifax Health – Auxiliary President W.G. Halifax Humane Society

The Halifax Humane Society is a 501 (c)(3) private nonprofit organization located in Volusia County that was founded in 1937.  As an open door animal shelter, finding homes for animals through adoption programs helps us continue to service over 25,000 animals annually.  As the voice for animals in the Greater Daytona Beach area, the shelter (equipped with a spay/neuter clinic) aids in protecting animals from cruel and neglectful treatment, provides happy homes to thousands of four legged friends, and educates and provides the community with a wide variety of services and programs.  For more information, visit halifaxhumanesociety.org.
