DAYTONA BEACH, FLA. – (October 11, 2017) – During its annual meeting on September 23 at the Palmetto Women’s Club in Daytona Beach, Halifax Health – Auxiliary, Inc. made a check presentation to Halifax Health – Foundation, Halifax Health Medical Center’s charitable foundation, in the amount of $101,010.10.
“We are extremely grateful to have a group of volunteers so committed to our mission of providing the highest quality of care to our community. Their fundraising efforts allow us to supplement the much-needed health services we provide throughout the year,” says Joe Petrock, executive director, Halifax Health – Foundation.
Also during the meeting, Halifax Health – Auxiliary officers were installed to serve a one-year term, beginning October 1, 2017. The auxiliary’s new officers include: Liz Dusz, president; Daphne Sapp, first vice president; Connie St. Denny, second vice president; John Smith, recording secretary; Tami Collins, corresponding secretary; Joan Chase, treasurer; and Cynthia Rose, assistant treasurer.
Halifax Health – Auxiliary was established in 1932. The Auxiliary provides volunteer opportunities to support Halifax Health and its patients. Volunteer opportunities are available for both adults and teenagers 16 years of age and older.
