On Thursday, September 24, Halifax Health and University of Florida Health hosted a meet and greet event to celebrate the launch of the heart and vascular surgery partnership recently established between the institutions. Guests had the opportunity to meet the program’s new heart and vascular surgery team which will be led by Sohit Khanna, M.D. and Cary Meyers, M.D., as well as take a guided tour of the program’s new offices at Halifax Health Medical Center of Daytona Beach. Also during the event, Halifax Health President & CEO Jeff Feasel presented a $2,000 check to Steve Gardner, president of the Volusia County Gator Club, to announce the start of two Halifax Health-sponsored scholarships that will be awarded annually by the Volusia County Gator Club to local high school seniors who have completed a health sciences academy and have been accepted to the University of Florida.
