DAYTONA BEACH, FLA. – (October 23, 2019) – Halifax Health recently made a donation of medical supplies to the Bahamas to aid medical professionals providing care to those affected by Hurricane Dorian.
Donated items included bags of intravenous fluids, respiratory and airway supplies, intravenous tubing and catheters, warming blankets, feeding tubes, blood collection and storage sets, dressings, surgical drapes, irrigation sets and various surgical supplies.
This donation effort was spearheaded by Halifax Health Chief Medical Officer Margaret Crossman, M.D.; Carl Chotas, M.D., a 2018 graduate of the Halifax Health – Family Medicine Residency Program; and Lee Chotas of Orlando, who coordinated the shipment of supplies via private plane.
