Halifax Health Expands Critical Care Services with New Intensive Medical Care Unit in France Tower

Daytona Beach, FL – (October 10, 2023) Halifax Health is proud to announce the opening of its brand-new Intensive Medical Care Unit (ICU) on the 8th floor of the France Tower. This expansion represents a significant milestone in the ongoing commitment to providing the highest level of healthcare services to the community.

With the addition of the 8th-floor ICU, Halifax Health now has a total of 36 ICU rooms, further strengthening our ability to deliver the highest level of care in the region. The new unit is equipped with amenities to ensure for patient comfort and well-being. Some of the features of the new ICU include:

– 10% larger private patient rooms.

– Eight ADA accessible rooms to accommodate patients with diverse needs.

– A dedicated family lounge area, providing a comfortable and supportive space for loved ones.

– Innovative Hoyer lifts for easy and safe patient repositioning, enhancing the quality of care.

The construction of this unit represents a significant investment in the community’s health, with a total cost of $22 million. This investment underscores Halifax Health’s commitment to advancing healthcare in the area and ensuring the best possible outcomes for patients.
