Daytona Beach, FL – August 24, 2023 – Halifax Health – Foundation is thrilled to announce a groundbreaking philanthropic partnership with the Jeep Beach organization, who have generously donated over $600,000 to fund the renovation of the lobby at Halifax Health – Behavioral Services. This transformative gift will not only enhance the physical space but also contribute to the development of crucial mental health counseling programming.
The lobby renovation project aims to create a welcoming therapeutic and healing environment that will make a significant impact on young patients, families and staff alike. As part of the renovation, a stunning Jeep Beach mural will be incorporated into the lobby’s design, symbolizing the strength, resilience and sense of adventure that individuals on their mental health journey possess.
Joe Petrock, Executive Director of Halifax Health – Foundation, expressed his gratitude for the partnership and the positive change it will bring: “We are profoundly grateful to the Jeep Beach organization for their contribution. This generous gift will not only renovate our lobby but also provide a space where children and adolescents seeking behavioral health services can find solace, inspiration and hope. This collaboration will undoubtedly make a lasting difference in our community.” In addition to the contribution from Jeep Beach, 71 MVP Foundation and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Driver Daniel Dye and his father, local businessman Randy Dye have committed the proceeds from their golf outing each year to go towards the project. Dye has taken his campaign, the Race to Stop Suicide, to all of his racing endeavors in an effort to break the stigma associated with mental health. Daniel has coined the phrase, “it’s okay to not be okay and don’t be afraid to talk about your mental wellbeing.”
Charlene Greer, speaking on behalf of the Jeep Beach Board, highlighted the organization’s commitment to mental health support: “Jeep Beach is dedicated not only to celebrating the Jeep community but also to making a positive impact on the lives of those around us. We are proud to support Halifax Health – Foundation in their mission to improve mental health services. The Jeep Beach mural will serve as a symbol of unity and strength, reminding everyone that they are not alone in their journey.”
