On May 13, Halifax Health – Foundation recognized Joie Alexander, Mary Bennett, Chuck Coleman, Harold Goodemote and Bobby Thigpen for their volunteer service and enthusiastic promotion of the community hospital system to East Central Florida residents.
“It is because of dedicated community members like Mary, Bobby, Harold, Chuck and Joie – and all of the members of the Halifax Health – Foundation – that we are able to continually raise funds for much needed medical technology and training for our employees,” explains Joe Petrock, executive director of Halifax Health – Foundation.
The five honorees have all assisted with fundraising, special projects, advocacy and community leadership initiatives, helping Halifax Health – Foundation to experience, in 2014, its most successful fundraising year since it was established in 1988.
Halifax Health – Foundation is the official charitable gift receiving agency of Halifax Health, which uses philanthropy and charitable gifts to supplement health services for the community. Since its founding, the foundation has donated more than $6 million to promote the general health and wellness of local residents.
