DAYTONA BEACH, FLA. – (January 25, 2019) – On Wednesday, January 23, Halifax Health – Hospice and Palliative Care launched its year-long commemoration of providing compassionate care for 40 years to the Central Florida communities it serves.  The kick-off celebration, held at Halifax Health – Hospice’s Port Orange Care Center, included special gifts and refreshments for employees to thank them for their service to the organization and their roles in making it the top-rated and most recommended hospice in Central Florida.

“Forty years is a special milestone and we want to commemorate that properly with special events throughout the year in all of the Central Florida communities we serve.  It was important to us to kick-off our commemorative activities with a celebration just for our employees and volunteers who provide exceptional care to our patients and families each day,” says Halifax Health – Hospice and Palliative Care Director Ben Eby.

Since 1979, Halifax Health – Hospice and Palliative Care, a not-for-profit organization, has provided extraordinary end-of-life care and grief support for patients and families through a uniquely specialized team of registered nurses, licensed social workers, spiritual care counselors, hospice aides, complementary therapists and more than 600 volunteers who are on-call 24 hours a day, seven days a week.  For more information on Halifax Health – Hospice and Palliative Care services and programs, visit halifaxhealth.org/hospice.
