Halifax Health – Hospice and the 7th Judicial Circuit to Host National Day of Remembrance Observance

National Day of Remembrance Ceremony presented by Halifax Health – Hospice Traumatic Loss Program and the Victims’ Services Coalition of the 7th Judicial Circuit

The Halifax Health – Hospice Traumatic Loss Program in collaboration with the Victims’ Services Coalition of the 7th Judicial Circuit annually observe the National Day of Remembrance with a special ceremony in honor of the victims and survivors of homicide and traumatic loss as a way for them to remember, reflect and heal.      

Participants are encouraged to bring a 5×7-inch or smaller unframed picture to place on the Wall of Remembrance during the ceremony.  All pictures will be returned.

Participants are also invited to decorate and add a commemorative rock to the Healing Hearts River of Rocks at the Halifax Health – Hospice Port Orange Care Center, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange.  Rocks should be approximately 3×6 inches in size and decorated using waterproof acrylic paint and permanent markers.

In addition, the names of loved ones to be remembered will be read during the ceremony.  Those who would like the name of their loved one included in the reading, or to RSVP for the event, should contact Dr. Kimberly Beck-Frate at 386.425.3339 or Kimberly.Beck-Frate@halifax.org by November 27.
