ORLANDO, FLA. (February 21, 2024) – Halifax Health – Hospice and their BeginAgain Children’s Grief Center are the beneficiary of funds raised at the 2nd Annual Networking Gala that was hosted by House Call MD’s in Orlando on October 7. The team from House Call MD’s presented the check for $8,773 at the Halifax Health – Hospice quarterly advisory board meeting on February 15. An additional $650 was also raised the night of the event through donations and raffle baskets.

This donation will be allocated towards the Halifax Health – Hospice BeginAgain Children’s Grief Center, which provides grief counseling to children and families at no-cost in Orange, Osceola, Volusia and Flagler Counties. In 2023, this program provided $211,000 in services to children in those four counties.

Since 1979, Halifax Health – Hospice has established itself as the respected leader in the local community for end-of-life care, providing extraordinary and dignified comfort and compassion. The organization served Volusia and Flagler Counties until June of 2015, when they expanded their hospice services to Orange and Osceola Counties. This donation was the largest amount raised by an event in the Orange and Osceola market.

“As we expand our hospice services in the Orlando area, it is also important to build and grow partnerships with organizations and donors, like House call MD’s.” said Emily Smith, Fund Development Coordinator. “These donations allow us to continue offering programs that are not usually covered by the Hospice benefit, but that we feel are important to support our community.”
