Halifax Health Names Little Director of Surgical Services

DAYTONA BEACH, FLA. – (July 30, 2018) – Eric Little has been named the new director of surgical services for Halifax Health, a 678-bed community healthcare system based in Daytona Beach.

A healthcare professional with nearly 20 years of experience, Little will serve as the primary leader for surgical operations at Halifax Health campuses in Daytona Beach, Port Orange and the Twin Lakes Surgery Center in Daytona Beach.  He joins Halifax Health from Saint Joseph East, a 217-bed, acute-care hospital in Lexington, Kentucky.

Little is a graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Indiana where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in healthcare administration.  He began his career as an operating room nurse and later worked as a surgical services manager and an intensive care unit nurse.  While with Saint Joseph East, he served as manager of the endoscopy unit, director of the gastroenterology service line and executive director of clinical services.

His professional affiliations include the American College of Healthcare Executives, Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates, and the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses.
