Halifax Health Medical Center of Daytona Beach joins health organizations nationwide participating in Flags Across America, a Donate Life America initiative which honors and celebrates the hundreds of thousands of donors and recipients whose lives have been affected by organ, eye and tissue donation. Halifax Health Medical Center will fly the Donate Life flag throughout the month of April which is recognized nationally as Donate Life Month.
Speakers will include:
- Kelly Vaglica, operations coordinator, Halifax Health – Center for Transplant Services
- Matthew Petkus, vice president of surgical services, Halifax Health
- Ginny McBride, executive director, TransLife
In addition, transplant recipients and a representative from a donor family will also serve as speakers during the event.
The public is invited to attend this free ceremony.
Also in observance of National Donate Life Month, Halifax Health Medical Center will be lit green in the evenings throughout the month of April.
