The Halifax Health – Center for Foot and Ankle has opened at 311 North Clyde Morris Boulevard in Daytona Beach. The center is led by Eric Goldenberg, MS, DPM, subsection chief of podiatry and clinical director of wound care for Halifax Health.
The Halifax Health – Center for Foot and Ankle offers an array of podiatric services, including: foot care, heel pain relief, diabetic care, foot and ankle surgeries, toenail care, orthotics and wound care. The center also provides care for sports injuries, bunions, ankle sprains, neuroma, stress fractures, warts, hammertoes, calluses and corns, children’s feet, flat feet and more.
A native of the Detroit, Michigan area, Dr. Eric Goldenberg is Board Certified in Foot Surgery by the American Board of Foot & Ankle Surgery. He is also Board Certified in Wound Care by the College of Medical Education and Testing. Dr. Goldenberg is a Fellow of the American Professional Wound Care Association and the Academy of Physicians in Wound Healing.
Dr. Goldenberg completed bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Cellular Ageing at Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan. He completed his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine at the California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco and a podiatric surgical residency at St. Michael’s Medical Center in Newark, N.J., part of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey medical system. While at St. Michael’s, Dr. Goldenberg served as chief resident during his final year of training.
Following his residency training, Dr. Goldenberg was recruited as a full-time faculty member of the College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery at Des Moines University in Iowa where he taught podiatric and osteopathic medical students surgery, medicine and physical diagnosis. While there, he served on the curriculum committee and also was a member of the testing committees for the National Board of Podiatric Medical Examiners for the sections of Podiatric Medicine and Radiology.
In addition, Dr. Goldenberg served as chief of podiatric medicine at Iowa Methodist Medical Center and Des Moines General Hospital and started the podiatric medicine and surgery residency training programs at Des Moines General Hospital. Because of his commitment to podiatric medical education he served on the board and as vice chairman of the Council of Teaching Hospitals of the American Association of Colleges of Podiatric Medicine.
After relocating to the Daytona Beach area in 2000, Dr. Goldenberg started a successful private practice specializing in foot surgery and wound care. He has served as a past president of the Volusia Component of the Florida Podiatric Medical Association and while at Halifax Health, has served on the Surgical Care Evaluation Committee and the Research Oversight Committee.

A published physician, Dr. Goldenberg has chapters in two textbooks – Principles and Practices of Podiatric Medicine and Infectious Diseases of the Lower Extremity. He has also been published in several peer reviewed journals.
