Daytona Beach, FL (October 12, 2023) – Halifax Health, the community’s healthcare leader, is pleased to sponsor the Volusia County Tax Collector’s partnership for the Kids Tag Art (KTA) program. This initiative blends the worlds of art, education and philanthropy.

Kids Tag Art is a new program in Volusia County which integrates fundraising with practical license plate art, while also nurturing the creativity of fifth-grade art students in Volusia County. The program starts with a classroom lesson about Florida’s specialty license plates, educating students on how plate sales directly benefit specific organizations. Teachers then engage students in designing vanity plates that amplify causes close to the students’ interests and hearts. These student-created plates are made available for purchase by parents and the community, with all proceeds reinvested into the school’s art program through the Futures Foundation.  Additionally, schools and sponsors have the opportunity to select plates for special recognition and awards.

Jeff Feasel, President and CEO of Halifax Health, stated, “At Halifax Health, we understand the importance of arts and education in shaping individuals. Kids Tag Art not only empowers young artists but also fosters a sense of giving back to the community. We are pleased to be the title sponsor of this program.”

The 2023-2024 school year marks the inaugural launch of the Kids Tag Art Program in Volusia County. For this debut, the program will partner with Sugar Mill Elementary School in Port Orange. Over the next three years, dozens of additional schools will be invited to participate, expanding the program’s reach and impact.
