Halifax Health Recognizes Joe Petrock Auxiliary Volunteers of the Month

DAYTONA BEACH, FLA. – (August 11, 2017) – Halifax Health – Auxiliary recently recognized its 2017 Joe Petrock Auxiliary Volunteers of the Month for June, July and August.

Ann Bush of Ormond Beach is the Joe Petrock Auxiliary Volunteer of the Month for June 2017.  A Halifax Health – Auxiliary member since 2009, Bush volunteers at the Halifax Health – Center for Oncology location in Ormond Beach.

Beloved by patients and staff, Bush says, “I wanted to volunteer as I always liked people and wanted to give back.”

Daytona Beach resident Bill Perrine is the Joe Petrock Auxiliary Volunteer of the Month for July 2017.  A member of Halifax Health – Auxiliary for three years, Perrine volunteers two days a week in Halifax Health Medical Center’s same day surgery unit.  He has volunteered 900 hours with the Auxiliary.

Perrine’s day in the same day surgery unit begins at 5 a.m. with taking patients to their room to prepare for surgery.  He says he enjoys volunteering at Halifax Health and interacting with patients, staff and other Auxiliary members.

Evelyn Chitty of Daytona Beach is the Joe Petrock Auxiliary Volunteer of the Month for August 2017.  She has been a Halifax Health – Auxiliary member for more than 12 years in the hospital’s gift shop.  The proud 92-year old has given 2,931 hours of service to Halifax Health.

Chitty, who is charged with checking the gift shop’s inventory, is highly thought of by staff for her dependability and friendliness to customers.
