In observance of May being National Stroke Awareness Month, Halifax Health is hosting this free community event. Attendees will learn how to prevent strokes, the signs of a stroke and more.
The event will feature presentations by healthcare professionals, including vascular and interventional radiologist Scott Klioze, M.D. and registered dietitian Stacey Scrabis. There will also be an opportunity for attendees to have their blood pressure checked.
In addition, Halifax Health healthcare professionals will be on-hand with information on the services provided by the hospital’s Comprehensive Stroke Center, as well as the Diabetes Education and Rehabilitation departments. A representative from the American Stroke Association will also be in attendance.
