DAYTONA BEACH, FLA. – (December 8, 2017) – On December 12, Halifax Health will present Trauma STAT 2017, a comprehensive symposium featuring fundamental concepts of trauma care and scenario-based activities, all targeted to optimize the continuum of care for the severely injured patient. The symposium will take place from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Plaza Resort & Spa, 600 N. Atlantic Avenue, Daytona Beach.
This year’s symposium faculty is comprised of many of Halifax Health’s key trauma providers and Volusia County public safety agencies. Topics covered will include: Shock and Trauma in Emergency Medicine; Military Lessons Come Home to Civilian Trauma Care; Need to Breathe: An Intensivist’s Approach to Airway Management; Scene Safe: Mitigating Violence in the Healthcare Setting; Traumatic Brain Injury: Agitation Management Throughout the Continuum; and We See You On Day One: Rehabilitation Therapies in Trauma Care.
Physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, paramedics and emergency medical technicians, radiography professionals, nutritionists and dieticians are encouraged to attend. Continuing education credits are available.
