Halifax Health | Brooks Rehabilitation – Center for Inpatient Rehabilitation will celebrate its second year with a special ceremony that includes a first glimpse of the center’s new handicap accessible field trip bus for patients.
The center’s handicap accessible field trip bus will transport patients, accompanied by specially trained therapists including a Certified Recreational Therapist, on Therapeutic Community Reintegration outings to places such as shopping malls, the post office and grocery stores, allowing them to begin practicing instrumental activities of daily living that will help them to live more independently when they return home.
Jeff Feasel, president and chief executive officer for Halifax Health, will be in attendance to honor the center’s achievements and send-off patients as they head out on their inaugural field trip.
