Halifax Health Team Members Lydia Hendrix RN, BSN, MS, CRRN and Jacqueline McDonald RN, BSN CRRN have been elected to leadership positions in the Central Florida Association of Rehabilitation Nurses (CFARN).
Hendrix was elected the president of CFARN for 2016. A Certified Rehabilitation Nurse (CRRN) for 25 years, Hendrix is currently the executive director of Rehabilitation Services at Halifax Health in partnership with Brooks Rehabilitation. Hendrix has leadership experience spanning multiple facets of the healthcare delivery system including acute care and post-acute care clinical and operational expertise.
McDonald, a nurse manager for Halifax Health|Brooks Rehabilitation – Center for Inpatient Rehabilitation, has been elected the organization’s vice president. She also has over 25 years of rehabilitation nursing leadership experience.
CFARN is the Central Florida District of the Florida Chapter of the Association of Rehabilitation Nurses. The association’s mission is to promote and advance professional rehabilitation nursing practice through education, advocacy, collaboration, and research to enhance the quality of life for those affected by disability and chronic illness. CFARN promotes educational programs, special interest groups, evidence-based practice, research and healthcare policy advocacy and reform in the specialty field of rehabilitation.
