DAYTONA BEACH, FLA. – (May 4, 2017) – Robert Love has been named the director of emergency services for Halifax Health. In this role, he is charged with overseeing the operations of Halifax Health’s emergency departments in Daytona Beach, Port Orange and Deltona.
Love brings to Halifax Health more than 20 years of experience in emergency services within community, tertiary and trauma care hospitals that includes nursing leadership, patient care and quality improvement. In addition, he brings to the position expertise in clinical operations, fiscal management, staff mentorship and project management.
Prior to joining Halifax Health, Love served in various leadership positions with Novant Health hospitals in North Carolina, including senior director of emergency services and director of nursing for clinical operations. He most recently served as the interim executive director of nursing for emergency services for Jackson Madison Medical Center in Tennessee.
Love has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Winston-Salem State University in North Carolina. He later earned a Master of Hospital Administration from Pfeiffer University, also in North Carolina. He is certified in Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support and also holds a Lean Bronze Certification.
Love is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and the Emergency Nurses Association. He has been published in the Advanced Emergency Nursing Journal.
