Luchsinger Receives Nurse Executive Certification

Halifax Health Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer Catherine Luchsinger is now a board certified Nurse Executive (NE-BC).

Awarded by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, this competency based examination provides a valid and reliable assessment of the clinical knowledge and skills of the nurse executive charged with managing the daily operations of a hospital.

A Wisconsin native, Luchsinger received bachelor’s degrees in health/physical education and nursing from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, respectively.  In 1998, she completed a master’s degree in nursing administration at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Luchsinger has extensive experience in acute care hospital operations on a system-wide basis.  Prior to joining Halifax Health she was the system chief nursing executive for Mount Carmel Health System, a member of Trinity Health in Columbus, Ohio.
