Daytona Beach, FL  September 24, 2021- Margaret Crossman, MD, Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer of Halifax Health and UF Health Medical Center of Deltona has been chosen as the recipient of the Florida Academy of Family Physicians Family Physician Executive Award.  This prestigious award was created to recognize an outstanding family physician for their dedication to excellence in the provision of high-quality health care, and demonstrated that family physicians can have an impact on improving the overall health of the nation.

According to John Gross, MD, FAAFP President, “physicians receiving this award represent the most outstanding family medicine physicians in Florida. Their contributions have proven to be the finest and brightest among a large group of highly qualified applicants.  Jeff Feasel, President and Chief Executive Officer at Halifax Health commented on the award.  “Dr. Crossman is a product of our Family Medicine Residency Program, spent time in family practice, has championed many projects for Halifax Health and now as our Chief Medical Officer we are relying on her leadership to see us through this most unique time in healthcare.  She has shown great leadership and has the utmost respect from our entire staff.  This is a well- deserved honor.”

Crossman will receive the award on December 11, 2021 at a ceremony on Amelia Island.
