Curriculum

Halifax Health – Sports Medicine Fellowship follows a one-year longitudinal curriculum with experiences in primary care MSK clinic, orthopedics, podiatry, MSK radiology, PM&R sports medicine, concussion evaluation and management, as well as multiple training rooms.  The sports fellow will get a hands-on experience in patient evaluation and care with progressive autonomy throughout the year.  The MSK US curriculum is reviewed early in the year and utilized in both standardized and clinical settings during the year.  The sports fellow is also involved in a lecture series and journal club on various MSK topics in preparation to sit for the CAQ in Sports Medicine upon completion of the fellowship.

Call Schedule

No in house call. After hours duties consist of event coverage, mostly football games as assigned.

Multidisciplinary Concussion Clinic

The evaluation and management of acute head injury and post-concussive syndrome using a multidisciplinary approach including PT, OT, Vestibular therapy, Oculomotor training, neuropsychology, and PM&R.
