Vice President/Administrator, Halifax Hospital Port Orange & Medical Center of Deltona
Ben Eby joined Halifax Health in 2015 as the Director of Finance for Halifax Health - Hospice and Palliative Care and assumed the role of Executive Director in 2019. In 2022 Ben accepted the role of Vice President & Administrator of Halifax Health - Medical Center of Port Orange, and in 2023 expanded that role to include Halifax Health | UF Health - Medical Center of Deltona.
Ben holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Thomas Edison University in New Jersey and a Masters of Business Administration, Healthcare Management from the Florida Institute of Technology. In addition, Ben holds a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and Certified Management Accountant (CMA) license through the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada. Prior to relocating to Florida in 2013, he had eight years of progressive management experience with a Toronto-based international healthcare company.
Ben is very active in the Volusia County community and serves as a board member for the Deland & Greater West Volusia Chamber of Commerce, the Council on Aging of Volusia County and the Rotary Club of Port Orange – South Daytona. He previously served on the board of the Florida Hospice & Palliative Care Association, as a Volusia County Schools student mentor with Take Stock in Children, and as the Alliance 4 healthcare committee chair with CareerSource of Flagler & Volusia counties. He is also a graduate of the Daytona Beach Regional Chamber of Commerce leadership program.
Ben lives in Flagler Beach with his wife Debra and their four children and is passionate about the role of Halifax Health within our community.
