Halifax Health – Keech Pediatric Neighborhood Care provides a full range of pediatric care for patients up to the age of 18, by appointment.
Our facility is a family-centered Medical Home providing accessible, comprehensive healthcare for children and adolescents in Volusia County. A Medical Home, as defined by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), is accessible, continuous, comprehensive, compassionate and culturally effective care. The AAP promotes access to quality Medical Homes for all children and youth.
As a Medical Home, Halifax Health – Keech Pediatric Neighborhood Care is a central resource for all children’s healthcare needs. The physicians and staff perform routine checkups, health education and encourage parents to be involved in all aspects of their child’s care.
When you call for an appointment, you will be offered the next available appointment time. When you have tests of procedures done, results will be provided within one to two days.

Dr. Halpern is a board-certified general pediatrician. He received his medical degree from the Medical University of Debrecen, Hungary, and completed his pediatric residency in Flushing Hospital Medical Center in New York.
He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Member of the American Medical Association, and was the recipient of the Pediatric Resident Award in 2000.
In addition to speaking English, Dr. Halpern also speaks Romanian, Spanish, French, and Hungarian.
Dr. Halpern is dedicated to providing outstanding care to our community. He enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, and is a big fan of anything that has to do with motorsports.
