About Ryan Rees, MD

About Ryan Rees, MD

Ryan R. Rees, MD is a board certified family medicine physician who received his Bachelor of Science from Florida State University, graduated from the American University of the Caribbean Medical School and finished his core training at Queen Mary’s Hospital in London. Dr. Rees completed his residency at the Medical College of Georgia where he was chief resident and named Georgia Resident of the Year.

Dr. Rees has practiced family medicine in Daytona Beach since 2005. In addition to his full-time private practice responsibilities, he also volunteers as an on-call Cardiac Rehabilitation physician for Halifax Health, works as an urgent care physician in Port Orange, serves as an Aviation Medical Examiner for Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and monitors patient health during prescribed weight loss management programs.

Certified in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Trauma Life Support, Dr. Rees has received the training needed to care for patients in complex situations with a myriad of symptoms.


About Aubrey Schock, MD

Aubrey Schock, MD, is a graduate of Dickinson State University and University of Iowa Medical School. He completed his residency at St. Paul Ramsey Medical Center and went on to work at Allina Medical Center in Hastings, Minnesota as a Family Physician. He practiced there for twenty-six years before joining Halifax Health – Primary Care.

Dr. Schock enjoys all aspects of family medicine, but takes great interest in orthopedic medicine, along with urgent care and preventive medicine. In 2015, Dr. Schock was a finalist for the Minnesota Family Physician of the Year through the Minnesota Academy of Family Practice.

Dr. Schock’s interests include traveling, hunting and fishing in his free time. He decided to relocate to Daytona Beach, FL, to be closer to his two children. Dr. Schock is also a veteran of the United States Army Reserve Medical Corps.


About Dr. Alisha Dessavre, MD

Dr. Dessavre is a native of rural central Illinois. She completed her undergraduate studies in community and public health at Iowa State University and her Masters of Public Health at the University of Illinois. Dr. Dessavre worked for the Illinois Department of Public Health in health policy and local public health as a health inspector before attending medical school at the University of Illinois. During her medical education, Dr. Dessavre was very involved in the Rural Medical Education Program as well as various outreach and mentoring activities which solidified her commitment to family medicine.

Dr. Dessavre completed her family medicine residency at Halifax Health. While at Halifax Health, she was a Resident Association meeting leader and was involved in many scholarly activities and committees, including her role as medical consultant and site coordinator for the Reach Out and Read program which aims to improve early literacy in the pediatric patient population. Dr. Dessavre has a special interest in adolescent medicine, women’s health and geriatrics. She looks forward to continuing to serve the Daytona Beach community.

In her free time, Dr. Dessavre enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, traveling, cooking and crafting.
