Joann G. Acuna, MD, FACOG

Dr. Acuna received her medical degree from the University of South Florida in Tampa and completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency at Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia. She was in private practice in obstetrics and gynecology for four years prior to completing her maternal-fetal medicine fellowship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California. Dr. Acuna is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine and the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Ramon A. Castillo, MD, FACOG

Dr. Castillo is a board certified Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialist with over 20 years of experience in the care of high-risk obstetrical patients. He is a graduate of the University of Puerto Rico medical school where he also completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology. In 1986, Dr. Castillo completed his fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the Medical College of Georgia (MCG). After three years teaching residents and medical students, he joined Regional Obstetric Consultants.

Dr. Castillo has served on multiple committees and has served as chairman of the Department of OB-GYN at Baptist Medical Center. He has an appointment as associate clinical professor of OB-GYN at the University of Florida and is a member of the Society of Maternal-Fetal Medicine. His special interests include pregnancy with multiple gestations and incompetent cervix.

Gerardo O. Del Valle, MD, FACOG

Dr. Del Valle is a board certified Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialist with more than 15 years of experience in the care of high-risk obstetrical patients. Dr. Del Valle graduated medical school at the University of Puerto Rico and completed his residency at University District Hospital in San Juan. He completed his Maternal-Fetal Medicine fellowship at the University of New Mexico in 1992. Prior to joining Regional Obstetric Consultants in 1996, Dr. Del Valle was the medical director for the Women and Infants Health Science Center at the University of Florida Faculty Clinic. Dr. Del Valle was chairman of the Department of OB-GYN at Baptist Medical Center from 2004 through 2007.

Dr. Del Valle is a member of the American Medical Association (AMA), American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM), American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) as well as the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine (SMFM). With over 30 publications, Dr. Del Valle has an interest in different areas of Maternal-Fetal Medicine, including ultrasonography, prenatal diagnosis, prematurity and medical complications of pregnancy.

Francisco L. Gaudier, MD, FACOG

Dr. Gaudier is board certified in Maternal-Fetal Medicine. He is a graduate of Ponce School of Medicine and completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at University of Puerto Rico Medical School in 1987. Dr. Gaudier completed his Maternal-Fetal Medicine fellowship at the University of Alabama in Birmingham. He was faculty at the University of Florida College of Medicine and Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville. Dr. Gaudier is currently the chairperson of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Memorial Hospital and serves on several committees in various hospitals throughout Jacksonville.

Dr. Gaudier has several academic appointments at the University of Florida and the Mayo Medical School. Dr. Gaudier’s special interests include prenatal diagnosis, ultrasound and maternal complications during pregnancy.

Edgard E. Ramos-Santos, MD

Dr.  Ramos-Santos, MD, is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine. He received his undergraduate degree from Inter-American University. He received his medical degree from Universidad Central del Caribe School of Medicine in Puerto Rico. He completed his Obstetrics and Gynecology residency training at University District Hospital in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and Maternal-Fetal Medicine fellowship at the Medical College of Georgia.

Dr. Ramos has practiced Maternal-Fetal Medicine since 1990. Prior to joining Regional Obstetric Consultants in Jacksonville, he practiced Maternal-Fetal Medicine in Tampa and Fort Lauderdale.

Dr. Ramos has published scientific literature in peer review journals, served on many community based medical committees and received awards for academic and scholarly achievements.

Kathryn S. Villano, MD, FACOG

Dr. Villano, board certified in Maternal-Fetal Medicine, completed medical school at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Florida College Of Medicine in Gainesville and her fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.

Dr. Villano is a member of the American Medical Association (AMA), American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine (SMFM) and Alpha Omega Alpha.

Dr. Villano has published original research on labor complications, infection in pregnancy and placental function. Her special interests lie in genetic counseling and diagnostic procedures, prenatal ultrasound and fetal therapy. Dr. Villano took over as Medical Director in June 2013.
