What’s New at VHN
Welcome to the VHN Premier EPO health plan. Effective January 1, 2020 VHN will be partnering with Health Plans, Inc. (HPI) and Navitus Health Solutions (Navitus) to administer the VHN medical and pharmacy programs.
HPI is pleased to be partnering with VHN to administer your medical plan benefits next year. This will not impact the provider network, but the claims submission process will change. If you have enrolled in the VHN plan for 2020, you will receive your new member ID card(s) in December. The ID card will contain both your medical and pharmacy benefit information. Keep this ID card somewhere safe, and be sure to show your new ID card when accessing health care or filling a prescription so your providers can update your plan information.
Continuing Your Care
If you or a covered family member have an upcoming surgery or procedure requiring hospitalization, are expecting a baby, or are undergoing a specific course of treatment for a serious condition, please call HPI at the phone number on the back of your ID card. HPI will help you through the process to ensure no disruption of coverage.
Starting January 1, 2020, your prescription drug coverage will be managed by Navitus Health Solutions. You will be able to continue filling your prescriptions at the Halifax Health Outpatient Pharmacy on the 3rd floor of the Fountain Building. You will also be able to fill your prescriptions at any Publix pharmacy. Effective January 1, 2020, VHN members will no longer have access to the Florida Health Care Plans pharmacies and Walgreens after hours pharmacies.
The existing mail order program will end as of December 31, 2019. In order to continue using mail order pharmacy benefits, please send mail order prescriptions to Publix mail order servicestarting on January 1, 2020.It is easy to start using Publix, just call Publix to enroll over the phone. The mail pharmacy can be reached toll-free at 1-877-907-4948. Please allow 7 to 10 calendar days from the day you submit your order to receive your medicine(s).
Navitus SpecialtyRx serves members who are taking medicine(s) for certain chronic illnesses or complex diseases. To receive specialty medications through the pharmacy benefit, you will need to fill these prescriptions at Publix Specialty Pharmacy or a Publix Retail Pharmacy. Ordering new prescriptions through our specialty pharmacy partner, Publix, is simple. Just call a Patient Care Specialist at 1-855-797-8254 to get started. They will work with you and your prescriber to get your prescription set up. You can also visit publix.com/specialty for more information.
As new partners in your medical plan administration and pharmacy benefit management, HPI and Navitus look forward to providing a high level of service, convenient tools to help lower your health care costs, and the support you need to improve your health. Starting on January 1, 2020, you can find information specific to your plan by logging into the secure member portal. This portal can be found at MYVHN.com. You will need a member ID to log in.
