About
Halifax Health – Auxiliary volunteers play a crucial role in the overall experience each patient and family has during their visit to the hospital. While this responsibility is no easy task, volunteers get a great sense of fulfillment and accomplishment out of helping others in need.
Membership in the Halifax Health – Auxiliary offers many volunteer opportunities for both adults and teenagers (ages 16-18).
Auxilians can work days, evenings, or weekends depending on their individual service assignments.
Volunteers are required to work a minimum of 60 hours per year with many special recognition programs, educational/social events and associated service benefits provided.
Service assignments include:
- Gift Shop
- Family Waiting Room
- Courtesy Cart
- Information Desk
- Halifax Health Medical Center – Port Orange
- Centers for Oncology
- Arts in Medicine Program
- Patient Service Rounds
- And over 40 other exciting volunteering opportunities
