Basheer Elsolh, MD, MPH, FRCSC, is a board-certified surgical oncologist with UF Health Surgical Specialists – Halifax Health in Daytona Beach, Florida. He specializes in the surgical management of breast cancer, gastrointestinal and colorectal cancers, melanoma, and soft tissue sarcoma. He is experienced in both open and minimally invasive abdominal surgery, including laparoscopic and robotic approaches.
Dr. Elsolh earned his undergraduate degree in anatomy and cell biology from McGill University and his medical degree from Queen’s University in Canada. He completed his residency in general surgery at the University of Toronto and earned a Master of Public Health in health care management from Harvard University. He went on to complete a fellowship in complex general surgical oncology at Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia.
He is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. He has published in leading surgical and oncology journals and presented at national and international conferences, and remains dedicated to patient-centered, multidisciplinary cancer care.
