Cristina Pereira Estremera, Ph.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in clinical neuropsychology. She was born and raised in Puerto Rico, where she completed her doctorate in psychology at Ponce Health Sciences University, where she gained experience in neuropsychological evaluation and rehabilitation, and designed a group therapy program for the management of chronic post-operative and cancer pain. She completed her postdoc in Clinical Neuropsychology at the Battle Creek VA Medical Center in Michigan where she worked with Veterans with neuropathological conditions and mental health disorders.

Dr. Estremera’s interests focus on functionality and well-being after stroke and traumatic brain injury. She is passionate about working with patients with neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer's and Lewy Body dementia. She is enthusiastic about working with family and caregivers, understanding that they are an essential part of optimal patient functioning. Dr. Estremera is bilingual in Spanish and English.
