After receiving her Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) in 2009, she completed her Emergency Medicine Residency and the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey in 2013. Appointed to Department Chair and Medical Director of Emergency Services in 2022, Dr. Chan has been an on-staff physician at Halifax Health since 2016.
