Dr. Joseph Collier grew up in and around Seattle, Washington, as the ninth of eleven children. His fondest childhood memories are of crowded living rooms filled with jokes, side commentary, and the smell of microwave popcorn while watching familiar movies. Now with a family of his own, he cherishes spending quality time with them to create lasting memories. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Washington and attended medical school at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. His research has focused on transparency in medical costs.
In his spare time, Dr. Collier enjoys writing short stories and poems, exercising, making puns, and playing board games with family and friends. He is also active in his church, participating in the choir and community service.
