Dr. Jones is a native of the small town of Cordele, GA. After high school, he attended Darton State College in Albany, GA where he received his associate degree in Respiratory Therapy. He began work in polysomnography while taking additional prerequisites towards his bachelor’s degree. He later moved to Augusta, GA and completed his bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy at the Medical College of Georgia and finished his prerequisites for medical school at Augusta State University. While living in Augusta, he worked for Doctors Hospital and University Hospital as a full-time neonatal respiratory therapist with adjunct positions for adult and pediatric patients on a weekly basis. As a respiratory therapist, he demonstrated mastery in neonatal and adult intubation, administration of surfactant, neonatal and adult resuscitation, mechanical ventilation and further pulmonary-related procedures. Dr. Jones attended medical school at Lincoln Memorial University Debusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in the rural Appalachian town of Harrogate, TN. When not diligently pursuing his medical studies, Dr. Jones volunteered his time tutoring 1st graders in mathematics at the local elementary school and participated in events to serve the rural underserved population in this area. His vast experiences working with patients of all age groups inspired him to pursue Family Medicine as a career.  Dr. Jones is happily married with two very active children. Outside of medicine, he enjoys fishing both leisurely and competitively. He has fished tournaments all over the southeast United States and hopes to get the opportunity to do so again in the future.
