Katelyn Petitfils Joubert, DO, is a fellowship-trained ophthalmologist specializing in oculoplastic surgery. She completed her fellowship at the University of Florida in Gainesville, following an ophthalmology residency at Geisinger Medical Center in Pennsylvania, where she served as Chief Resident, and a preliminary year in internal medicine at LSU in Lafayette. Dr. Joubert earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Auburn, Alabama, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Louisiana State University, graduating summa cum laude.
Throughout her training, Dr. Joubert demonstrated a strong commitment to leadership, wellness, and service. She served as Residency Wellness Leader, Vice President of Sigma Sigma Phi Honors Society, and chaired multiple student committees focused on mentorship and surgical education. Her dedication to global health is evident through her extensive international medical outreach in Honduras, Peru, the Dominican Republic, Greece, and refugee camps in Germany.
Dr. Joubert is passionate about advancing patient care through advocacy and was selected as an American Academy of Ophthalmology Advocacy Ambassador. She brings a compassionate, holistic approach to medicine, blending clinical excellence with a heart for service and education.
